Faculty of Radio Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems

Foundation: Faculty of Radio Physics, Electronics and Computer Systems (before March, 2014 – Faculty of Radio Physics) was organized in 1952 on the base of the Department of Electron Physics, founded in 1937 as the part of Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

Departments: Mathematics and Theoretical Radio Physics, Electrophysics, Electron Physics, Quantum Radio Physics, Computer Engineering, Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics, Medical Radio Physics, Radio Engineering and Electronic Systems.

Structural units: 7 research laboratories and sectors.

Training programs: Applied Physics, Computer Engineering, Radio Engineering (for Bachelor), Radio Physics and Electronics, Medical Physics, Computer Systems and Networks, Radio Engineering Devices, Systems and Complexes (for Master).

Specializations / educational programmes: Solid-State Electronics, Electron Physics, Quantum Radio Physics, Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics, Medical Radio Physics, Medical Devices, Applied Optics and Magnetism, High Technology (jointly with the Institute of High Technology), Networks and Devices of Microwave Range, Radio Engineering Complexes and Systems, Radio Engineering Methods of Technical Protection of Information, Radio Engineering and Complexes of Location and Navigation, Radio Engineering and Communications Networks, System Administrators, Network Administrators, System Engineers, Network Engineers.

Availability of hall of residence: nonresident students live in the dormitory No.1, where an overhaul has been finished recently.

Military Department: a military training program for reserve officers studying at the Military Academy of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Courses offered in a foreign language: Master’s students have the opportunity to study select courses exclusively in English.
